Dearest Division 4,
Have you ever wondered what happens after death? If there is a supernatural who is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-good? That perhaps you are an incarnated being from life before?
Starting this week, we'll be starting a new unit in Social Studies: World Religion.
To give us a kick-off, let us first have a game of Kahoot.

Hopefully, you had fun with the Kahoot!
Now, I have the following action items for you to accomplish to complete this week's mission.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
[Big Idea] I can understand that religious and cultural practices that emerged during this period have endured and continue to influence people.
[Content] I can develop curiosity about origins, core beliefs, narratives, practices, and influences of religions, including at least one indigenous to Canada.
[Curricular] I can share my understanding of world religion with my teachers and peers.
[Core] I can be respectful and accepting of my peers' responses in the chalk talk activity.
ACTION ITEMS:
Watch the Video: https://ed.ted.com/lessons/the-five-major-world-religions-john-bellaimey
Post your answers to the Video Chalk-Talk Questions.
What interested you in the video? Was there anything you found surprising or new? Explain why it stood out to you.
What do you already know about religion?
What attitude and values do you think is important to bring with us when we discuss sensitive topics as religion?
What do you want to wonder about world religion? What do you want to learn about in this unit? ("I don't know" is not an answer!)
Respond to at least one of your peers' posts from each question. You should have responded to at least three posts by the end. Try to respond to those posts that do not yet have responses.
You are now all set. Well done.
Looking forward to the next World Religion mission!
